UPDATE on the CGI version of Nirn

cloud pics 2014 2271

Hi all

Now that I have the original Nirn version and COT versions up for download, I’ve been able to focus down on the CGI version. This is the version that most of my screenshots were taken from up until about 10 days ago or so.

I’ve made some additional progress on this version. But there are some set backs in regards to its requirements. Due to these requirements, I’m not entirely sure I will host this version on Nexus. I don’t know how well it will fair considering these requirements. Expect this to be an exclusive to my blog. In a way that makes it kinda rare and valuable, right??? Like… (cough, cough) donation worthy?

1. It requires an Nvidia video card

2. It requires driver version 320.49

3. It requires Nvidia Inspector to enable Oblivion’s Ambient Occlusion

As long as you are okay with all of these requirements than you shouldn’t have any issue getting your game to look like this… Some shots were taken at 3200×2400 while others at 1600×1200. What’s crazy is its actually pretty hard to tell the difference in resolution on any of them. I think the ENB just improves the look that much.

A TON of screenshots for now and some videos to come later…

Far Off ENB – Nirn (COT version with Vanilla weathers too!)

Far Off ENB COT ready logo 2

DOWNLOAD at the bottom of page

You won’t have to wait too long for this one. Most of the ground work was already done over the last 3 or 4 weeks. I’m pretty happy with the way this has turned out. Any ENB modder knows that getting your config to play nice with COT isn’t easy. I managed to not only get it to play with COT, but with Vanilla weather simultaneously!

Using a weather trainer, you can on-the-fly, select the weather you want to use for Vanilla while still using COT. Some lighting attributes will remain so it actually enhances to Vanilla weather. And of course you have all the great weather variation from COT!

I should have this posted on Nexus in the next day or two!

Here is a short video for now. And a long one is being uploaded showing off the weather changes and day night transitions.

Far Off ENB – Nirn (Natural Version) released

new nirn logo

Hi all

I released a new ENB on Skyrim Nexus.
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56548/?

Its kinda a mix of the CGI style vibrant screenshots I posted here last page, with a touch of realism. I will come out with a full on CGI style version, but the only issue with it is that it depends on a specific Nvidia driver version. This is because Nvidia changed the way Skyrim handles Ambient Occlusion after this driver version. The old version was much more dense. When paired with the right settings, it creates those amazing CGI like screenshots. I am working to get that version up. I just need some more time piecing everything together as far as a “how to document” on getting the game to look like those screen shots.

That isn’t to say this release isn’t great. I mean, I’m really enjoying playing on it this one at the moment. It is very well balanced. All the weathers look great and I think it has a great tone and clarity to it. Characters still pop out at you in a way. They appear to have weight to them. This is just how the lighting and shaders are configured. Here are some videos… I will try to get some screen shots up soon too.

More pics of upcoming Far Off ENB – Nirn

Still a work in progress, however I am nearing release very soon. Nights will be bright. This is a screen archers ENB at the heart of it. I personally like the look of the nights and the unique contrast it gives when showing off the character in a night setting.
There is a work around while in game for darker nights. I’ll go into details about it in the read-me at release. See the last pic in this group for an example of darker nights.

Pre-paring Far Off ENB – Nirn for upload

Some of you might of saw my Nirn ENB video and pics many months back. I delayed the project to finish my Claymay version. Now I’m back to working on Nirn. Although, in some ways I almost just want to call this version Wii U ENB or something like that. It literally just reminds me of most of the lighting and Ambient Occlusion effects used on the current Wii U titles such as Mario Kart 8, 3D Mario World and the next upcoming Sonic game.

You can follow me on Flickr for more pic updates.

Far Off ENB – Post Claymay Experimental – (AKA) Far Off ENB – Ablaze

Hi all

Been a long while since I’ve posted anything here.
I’ve been extremely busy in real life doing lots of stuff.
Primarily preparing for my first born’s arrival at then end of this month. 🙂 Having a boy, so I’m super stoked knowing I get to show him lots of cool things I love.

I also recently built an arcade machine which is something I’ve always wanted to do. I will post some pics and video of that here soon as well.

Now on to important matters. I’ve created yet another ENB.
Well, actually its one I’ve had for at least 2 months now, but I finally got the time to share it with you all.
If feedback is good here, I might post it on Nexus.

I received many requests to update my CGI Series ENB found here…

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50764/?

However, its not exactly the same as CGI. Call it a mixture of the CGI Series ENB with Claymay ENB.

Claymay ENB can be found here…

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48144/?

The end result is this…

One thing I feel is quite unique with this ENB is it’s ability to highlight colors from lightsources naturally.
You notice in the above video how the nightsky creates a hue of similar colors in the rest of the world. The same goes for all weather types.

I’ve named this ENB release – Far Off ENB – Ablaze
The ENB binary file is included in the download. Based off of v0.250. I recommend creating a NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) archive for the files, but you can simply copy and paste them if you are okay with manually removing them later if you dislike the ENB.

Far Off ENB v6.0 – Claymay (FPS Friendly)

Claymay ENB has been uploaded to Nexus for anyone who would like to try it.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48144/?

I wanted to do a more rustic and dulled out version this time around.
This is another Claymay version I’ve been working on. v5.0 was based on a claymay version similar to this. However, I think this looks more like claymation than v5.0 did. Plus, compared to v5.0, this is a very FPS friendly version. Only active effects are Detailed Shadows, Sun Glare, Sun Rays, Depth Of Field (optional) and Soft Particles. Heck, I even managed to cut bloom out. I focused heavily on details, shadows and fog values. Basically attempting to create fake SSAO. So as you might of guessed, no SSAO active in these vids. However all effects have been configured and can be turned on or off depending on preference. The point is to try to allow all players, regardless of their PC specs, a chance to experience Skyrim with good visuals.

No download link as of yet for this one. Just a couple videos for now… I’m thinking of hosting on Nexus again soon. So at this rate I am planning to upload this on Feb 1st. We’ll see if I can get a pretty nexus page by then. if not, than I will just host here early.

If you want the config early, just PM me. 🙂

Far Off ENB – Shadow Depth (FPS Friendly)

UPDATE – Made minor adjustments to bloom, fog, sun. Removed lumasharpen in Sweet FX. New version is v5.9

*enable palette in ENB GUI if you think the config is too bright.

=====================================================================

Unfortunately, I had to put the Nirn Edition config on hold. I’ve had a very hard time getting nights and interiors to balance properly with the rest of the config. I’ll come back to it soon though. I’m going to be sharing an FPS friendly config in the meantime. This is named Shadow Depth. I’ve tried this approach in the past but had to scrap it. However, I came back to this project and I think its done.

Basically its a Vanilla style config that only uses bare minimum ENB effects. SSAO isn’t really needed IMO because the shadows and direct lighting provide a nice depth to models and textures. This is my opinion of course, but me being a real stickler for HIGH QUALITY. (2160p w/ 8×8 sgss)
I can actually play this config at 1080p with no Anti Aliasing and still feel really impressed by the visual quality. All effects which are turned off by default have actually been configured, so you can turn them on if you so desire. I imagine many will like to have water effects and or reflections turned on.

(Sorry for the wonky controls for the character. I was experimenting with a xbox 360 controller. The analog sticks were super sensitive and its seems animations would get confused if it wanted to walk or jog. Additionally, I’m brand new to capturing video, so bare with me while I get a feel for my style)
